Your purpose is to understand the patient's condition and, under the direction of the Managing Physician, manage the appropriate rehab designed for them to correct it.
You will assist the team of physicians by helping identify when additional testing to find hidden weaknesses in the patient's structure is necessary and help develop a very detailed and specific rehab plan that will restore the patient's health.
You will help manage the patient's rehab plan from start to finish, making sure the travel card is complete and clear for the patients in office and home therapy to be provided efficiently and correctly to ensure the patient reaches their short term and long term goals.
Responsibilities:
Administer and assist in active and passive therapies Educate patient on therapies and services in each department Focus on patient quality of care Refer patients to providers in other departments Instruct and aid in Patient education:
How to sign in, warm ups, DME, Laser, estim, decompression, Oxygen therapy, SoftWave, Vibration Therapy Teach Patients hands on and then monitor Passive Therapies:
Vibration, decompression, Oxygen therapy, Laser, e-stim DME:
Educate in office as distributed, fill out distribution form, track serial numbers, answer question and trouble shoot issues for patients Ensure safety and cleanliness to all areas that rehab is over:
rehab room, TX room, laser room, SoftWave/E-stim room, X-Ray room Stock rehab area materials:
face paper, cleaning supplies Notify and monitor equipment repairs Assure appropriate patient flow during each visit Identify patients that are not maintaining treatment frequency Direct, coordinate and orchestrate the Rehab meeting with the Treatment Directing Physician Review with Providers, the Functional exams and progress of patients for appropriate progression of therapy and rehab Administer and assist in active/passive therapies with patients Daily Charting and posting of Therapies and modalities patients received Monitor daily production sheet to assure all patients received prescribed care in the Rehab area Discussing approved Physician's treatment plan for therapy and discussing costs with the patient Job Type:
